The Staber Industries Drying Cabinet Team
Marketing & Sales Manager
Staber Industries has been family owned and operated since 1976. The company was founded and is currently headquartered in Groveport, Ohio. The company began remanufacturing laundry equipment from manufacturers such as Maytag, Whirlpool, GE and Speed Queen.
Based upon this experience, Staber Industries designed and secured a patent on a new type of clothes washer that cleans more efficiently than traditional tub washers. Since then, we’ve grown our business to become the complete partner for home and laundry care, including dryers and residential drying cabinets.
For over 30 years, all Staber appliances have been manufactured in Central Ohio. Most of our sales have been through the old-fashioned way: word of mouth from customers, and direct from our home to yours. Our state-of-the-art facilities have the technology to do it all in the USA, including laser cutting, metal fabrication, welding and powder-coat painting.
We’re proud to put our name behind the world’s best drying cabinets – and we’re not the only ones who think so! Staber products have been honored by publications like The Wall Street Journal, Popular Science ‘Best of What’s New’, Consumers Digest ‘Best Buy’, Country Living, Countryside Magazine, Farm Show, Arrington’s Bed & Breakfast, Appliance Service News, Columbus Monthly, and Home Power magazine.
As a family owned business grown in the USA, Staber Industries understands what quality means. Trust the home appliance experts to deliver the best products for your family, that will last for years to come.
About Bill Staber
Bill Staber was born in May of 1958 to Ruth and James E. Staber. Bill attended preschool at the Jewish Center followed by 13 years of attendance , from Kindergarten through the 12th grade, at the Columbus Academy where he graduated as one of the top students in his class. During his childhood, he acted as his father’s assistant in the business of replenishing candy and cigarette machines at his fathers bowling alley. He was so mature that his father let him walk to the bank and make deposits for him. At age 16 Bill became licensed pilot.
After graduating from the Columbus Academy he attended The Air Force Academy for two years, only to return home and help his father in running the business. Bill’s father, James E. Staber founded Staber Industries manufacturing facility in 1976. The company started out remanufacturing transmissions from washing machines, which soon evolved from manufacturing only a component all the way up to a whole machine. This soon led to the Staber washing machine. After Bill’s father passed away in 2003, Bill became president. He manages the manufacturing side of the company and oversees day-to-day operations. With the economy and technology forever changing, Bill’s innate abilities such as his entrepreneurial spirit and his experience and expertise, has enabled him to forecast and foresee profitable market opportunities by using product diversification.
Bill is very active in his church (St. John XXIII Catholic Church) and is well known by all of his neighbors and friends as a person willing to help in any situation. He has also contributed anonymously to many charities. In his “spare time” Bill has become a licensed minister permitting him to preside over marriages, and has also taken up photography, gifting many family members with graduation and wedding photos. Bill is married to Kathy Staber.
